You will usually receive an estimate within 12 working hours of your quote request.

- ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS & APPROVAL

Our digital printing process can only be as good as the artwork. Although we can work with a variety of files, we recommend 200 DPI (Photoshop) OR Vector (Illustrator) artwork. This will always be the best output possible. We also require for the art to be perfectly sized and scaled (max. 14"x16") to how you want it to look on the final print. (with which we provide templates to assist with this). We can’t be responsible for the final quality of the print due to poor artwork. If we foresee any problems with your artwork, well be sure to inform you. Likewise, if you have questions about your artwork, please ask us before approval of your final mockup so that we can correct these problems before your job is run. Don't hesitate to ask for our graphic service to redraw, correct, clip, retouch your artworks.

Final mockup is being sent before going to print. This mockup will usually detail the quantities, sizes & color of the goods, image size / placement. This is your chance to change any details of your job. Once approval is given, anything overlooked is not our responsibility. Please ensure that everything is concretely accurate with all details before giving up final approval.

PRODUCT

- PRODUCTS / GARMENTS

All garments are handmade and because of the nature of these conditions, each and every garment has its own unique quality and sometimes, slight damages (including slight inconsistencies in color, size, cut, construction and shade of the garments). Although we try to remove any/all recognizably damaged goods as we print, we aren’t responsible for the occasional oversight of damaged product getting into your batch.

- CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Digital printing is a very delicate process. Although the process printing is permanent, the care of a garment is key to obtaining a lifetime of a beautiful and flawless image. Some keys are: washing inside out in cold water (or no more than 85°F), drying on low heat (or just air drying all together), and if ironing, iron around the stencil to preserve the artwork. We are not responsible for garments that aren’t cared for properly.

- DAMAGES

Although we have many years of experience in digital printing, accidents still happen. We aren’t liable for these small under runs that occur during printing. Usually we try our best to get you the exact number, we aren’t responsible for spoilage for up to 10% per design. When we deliver a shortage of your product, you will never be charged for items that you do not receive. We give a 48-hour window from the time of delivery for the client to inspect their garments for correct quantity and quality control. Please know that after this 48-hour window, our replacement policy expires.

- OUT OF STOCK / BACK ORDERED INVENTORY

THE CUSTOM SHIRT CLUB is not responsible for items that are out of stock or back ordered. While we check items we know to have potential stock issues, all garments are ordered after your order is placed, and we cannot guarantee their availability. If items are out of stock, we will provide you with a list of possible replacements and get it approved by you before using your chosen item.

- GARMENT DISCLAIMER

THE CUSTOM SHIRT CLUB is not responsible for manufacturer defects such as color inconsistencies, stitching errors, mislabeled garments, loose/inconsistent stitching, and/or garment defects (holes in garments, ripped seams, etc.). We try our hardest to inspect the garments as we print them, but we cannot guarantee each garment. We are not the manufacturers of these garments, so we cannot ensure their construction. We highly recommend ordering 5% extra of each size if an exact count is important.

Some manufacturers over-dye their garments. Over-dying is the process of re-dying a garment after it’s initial manufacturing period. This is done for any number of reasons, including color correction, clearing out of colors that didn’t sell (purple shirts aren’t selling so the manufacturer dyes them black to sell them as black shirts), etc. Because of this factor, THE CUSTOM SHIRT CLUB cannot 100% guarantee exact color consistency on coloring with discharge printing or discharge based services (Premium Standard). This is most noticeable on white ink prints (showing a slight off white tinge), but can sometimes be seen with other colors. If you are concerned about the possibility of over-dying on a garment you are interested in or would like more information or alternate print methods, please contact us. We will be glad to provide you with any information that may help you avoid this issue.

PRINTING

- INK COLORS

Our Direct to Garment technology system allows us to prin on CMYK colors, not direct tones such as Pantone. Anyway, giving a Pantone color is also a very good reference to have. The CMYK printing result will be as close as Pantone. Due to differences in colors of computer monitors and variances in dry to wet color choices, the final product might slightly vary from the original artwork. Also, there might be slight variances of color even when reordering items with the same exact ink color (as colors change slightly with every mixed batch).

- DISCHARGE

Through the advancements of modern science, discharge printing has come to be an amazing way to print on dark garments but to keep the super soft feel. Although this is an amazing advancement, there are still some downfalls of this style of printing. Mainly, not all shirts discharge equally, given that each shirt color has slightly different dyes that are used to attain that color on the final product. Because of this, discharge reacts differently to certain colors, leaving it not able to discharge evenly all the way through like other colors. These colors (generally in the green / blue / purple color spectrum) do not discharge well. Also, sometimes there is also a slight rough feel around the ink area after these shirts are printed, due to the pre-treatment we use. This will come right off after the first wash, leaving the shirts very soft with absolutely no ink feel.

- FINE DETAIL

Modern day digital printing has given us the ability to print very fine detail on a variety of mediums. However, there are still certain mediums that prohibit us from being able to replicate this fine detail. These items are usually things that have rough surfaces (canvas tote bags and certain aprons) and any garments made with ribbed, burnout or pique material. (Just remember, the rougher the material, the more difficult fine detail is to achieve). As always, we will always be forthcoming if we feel this will be a problem before going to press with your job.

- LABEL

When printing inside care labels inside a garment, sometimes the image that is being printed can show thru the garment to the back of the garment (more with lighter colored garments). We take all precautions necessary to not make this happen, but sometimes its inevitable. A dense image that uses more ink used to be printed has a higher chance of showing through. If printing on light garments, its best to keep artwork light and non-detailed to avoid this completely. Also, when trying to print an image on the top center back of a shirt, which is the same place the tag print is located (opposite sides of the shirt), those graphics can conflict and show thru on each other, making it difficult to read each of them. Keep this in mind when organizing the placements of artwork. We only offer tag printing in one ink color per order run for all designs and garments.

- SPECIFIC PLACEMENT MEASUREMENTS

Even though THE CUSTOM SHIRT CLUB’s printers have over 15 years of experience, there is no way to effectively and efficiently measure a distance from the collar on each shirt as each garment is loaded onto the press by hand. If you request a print that is 2” down from the collar, we will use that as a guide and do our best to make sure that all shirts hit that target, but not all shirts will hit exactly at 2”, they may be off by as much as an inch in either direction. This will not be considered a misprint and THE CUSTOM SHIRT CLUB will not reprint or refund these shirts.
